How it works

B12 is essential for myelin synthesis, mitochondrial function, and red blood cell formation. Even low-normal levels can cause fatigue in some people.

Get blood levels tested first. Most beneficial if deficient or low-normal, especially for vegetarians, vegans, or people over 50. Sublingual or injection route bypasses poor absorption.

Why moderate evidence

Strong evidence for treating B12 deficiency. Benefit in individuals with normal levels is less established, but community signal is strong for the low-normal range.
