How it works
Block H1 histamine receptors, reducing the allergic cascade triggered by pollen-mast cell interaction. Onset within 30β60 minutes.
Less effective than nasal steroids for congestion. Cetirizine can be mildly sedating in some people despite being classified as non-drowsy. Works best taken prophylactically.
