1. Acceptance

By accessing or using WikiRemedy (wikiremedy.org) you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. What WikiRemedy is

WikiRemedy is an information platform that aggregates community experience and published research evidence about health remedies. It is not a medical service, health professional, or clinical resource.

Nothing on WikiRemedy constitutes:

  • Medical advice
  • A diagnosis
  • A treatment recommendation
  • An endorsement of any remedy or product
  • A substitute for professional medical consultation

3. Your responsibilities

By using WikiRemedy you agree to:

  • Only rate remedies you have personally tried
  • Provide honest, accurate ratings and comments
  • Not submit ratings on behalf of another person
  • Not submit ratings for commercial gain or to promote products you sell
  • Declare any conflict of interest when suggesting remedies
  • Not use WikiRemedy if you are under 13 years of age

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings
  • Submit false, misleading or defamatory content
  • Use WikiRemedy to promote commercial products or services
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or extract data at scale without permission
  • Impersonate other users or medical professionals
  • Submit content that is harmful, abusive or illegal

Accounts found to be in breach of these terms may be permanently down-weighted or suspended.

5. Community content

Ratings, comments and suggestions submitted by users are the responsibility of those users. WikiRemedy does not verify individual claims and is not liable for the accuracy of community-submitted content.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or that we consider harmful, misleading or inappropriate.

6. Intellectual property

The WikiRemedy platform, design, editorial content and evidence summaries are owned by WikiRemedy Pty Ltd. Community ratings and comments remain the intellectual property of their authors but are licensed to WikiRemedy for display and aggregation purposes by virtue of submission.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, WikiRemedy Pty Ltd is not liable for:

  • Any harm resulting from use of information on WikiRemedy
  • The accuracy, completeness or currency of community ratings
  • Any indirect, consequential or special damages arising from use of the platform

Our liability, where it cannot be excluded, is limited to the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Disclaimers

WikiRemedy makes no representation that any remedy listed is safe, effective or appropriate for any individual. Community ratings represent the experiences of anonymous individuals and should not be treated as clinical evidence.

Always consult a qualified health professional before starting, stopping or changing any health remedy, supplement or medication.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of WikiRemedy after changes constitutes acceptance.
